When it comes to insanely dead pathogens,we have always imagined the H1N1 , E.Coli , Rabies and so on right ?.Perhaps we are missing someone new to this list.Meet Naegleria fowleri , the "brain eating amoeba".It is a rare & deadly specimen. It is so rare that only 1 in 33 million have the chance of infection. So how does it actually eat your brain ?
When the water contaminated with this bacteria goes up into your nose,it travels through your sinus and all the way to your brain. The amoeba produces enzyme that can dissolve protein. It's what happens when the amoeba doesn't have any bacteria to eat(It's usual food).Since the brain contains no bacteria, the amoeba eats the brain nerve tissue cells and causes death. It's fatality rate is 97 %! But guess what ? This bacteria is killed easily by stomach acids. So it's not a problem if it gets into your tummy. What do the doctors say then ? Wear nose plugs when you are out in the water Swimming!
